Praying through Scripture
If you aren’t sure where to start with prayer, then why not go to scripture and allow the Word to lead you in prayer. How?… do this:
- Pick a psalm (go with the one that you are up to through the read scripture app)
- Read it all the way through so that you see the whole context
- Then go back through, and let the Word lead you in prayer, for
example the following Psalm may lead you into the prayers in dot points.
Psalm 121
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
- Gratitude: Gods consistent help.
- Declaration

Holy, and good and you are the Maker of all, of heaven and earth, and yet still, you are my help, you are concerned with me and my troubles.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

I am not worthy but thank you foryou grace. - Declaration and Glorification: Father, you do not rest or become distracted, thank you that I can trust you with all that I am.
